Open Question: Creating my own King size headboard...HELP!>? and more... Open Question: Creating my own King size headboard...HELP!>?I would like to create my own King Size headboard for our bed. I've been shopping for new bedroom sets and nothing is quite what I am looking for. I seen an episode of that home make over show and there was one where they made a headboard. I'm going to have it against a red wall and my theme is contemporary, black white red. The picture in my head is black... with button stitches... or dark wood black, with a red centered (not sure the word I am looking for) pudgy, pillowing kinda part that has the cris cross stitching with button accents... I am probably not explaining it right... Any idea where to start and how to go about this project? My husband is a general contractor and thinks I am nuts and just wants me to go buy one.... Any other ideas of how to create a headboard? I was also thinking of no head board and simply hanging like a black panel against the wall and draping it to look like a headboard......I am no interior designer thats for sure but I am looking for the cheapest, best looking design, and original!! Definately original.. Again, furniture is black (dressors, night stands.. etc... bedding is black white, with red accents... room walls are white with the exception of the red wall the bed will sit against (headboard sits against)... anyway...looking for some ideas on how to make this work...any other tips or recommendations for the layout or decorating.. please share! How much more. For example a 1200 sq foot home; Put 700 sq feet down stairs, and 500 upstairs, meaning a smaller foundation, but a stronger foundation, less roof, maybe slightly more siding. Thanks for the help Open Question: How to faux paint 1 wall with multiple colors?I love color, and I am wanting to paint the top portion of a main wall in my living multiple colors, using the colors from the kitchen, dining, and entryway all on that level to pull it all together in the living room. How would I do this? Do you have to use a glazing liquid? I was thinking of using a sponge. This wall is the wall that my fireplace so and their is a chair rail on the wall so I think it would be neat to have it as an accent wall.
