Open Question: Are table runners 'old-fashion'?Open Question: Are these considered pillowcases or pillow shams in the USA?I am in the process of importing silk pillowcases into the USA. I like how these pillowcases look on the following website. http://www.silksleep.com/silk-pillowcases.htm I have samples that look like these. In the USA would you consider these pillowcases or pillow shams? Would you order them as a pillow case that you sleep on here in the USA? or would you want a more traditional looking pillowcases with no edge? Open Question: Will acrylic paint on wood withstand rain, if it's covered in many layers of varnish?Ok, so this question may be stupid but I don't know anything about this kind of thing (hence why i'm asking!) I'm painting a skateboard box for my little brother. The design is quite intricate and uses many different colours, so I planned to use acrylic paint for the initial design and waterproof it with quite a few layers of varnish. Is this likely to hold up against an occasional downpour? The box has been sanded and primed before I begin painting, and he understands that the design will get wrecked after he's skated on it a few times, all i'm wondering is whether it will stay watertight during adverse weather conditions. If varnish is a useless idea, what other transparent product (that's fairly cheap) could I use in replacement? Thanks!
