Open Question: How do I make my bright red pillows a deeper shade?

I bought some fabric on sale to make pillows for my couch. They are a little too bright! If I use Rit Fabric dye (like maybe diluted brown) will I get a nice deep red Crimson color instead?

Open Question: In Friends, Ross and Rachel's daughter Emma has a sort of 'royal' flag or banner hanging outside there door?

What I want to know is, since it is more than likely purchased in America is whether anyone knows where it is from or maybe has a photo (long shot, I know) so I can attempt to make one similar for my daughter's nursery. Just to refresh anyone who may have an idea. Its pink and white diamond shapes and has a big 'E' in gold, and has a few other bits on it too, but I've never gotten a really good look at it, I've just always admired it. Obviously I understand this is going back a few years now but even if there is anything similar I'd love to see it. Thanks, Lizzie x

Open Question: The flooring company wants to lay right over vinyl?

Looking into vinyl or laminate stone look tiles. They said they just lay over existing sheet vinyl. I am unsure. What is the expense later? Want the floor to be solid, last its max, and not cost more money later on if corner were cut now. In short I want it done right the first time. I have heard to have whole vinyl pulled up start again, or leave vinyl use backer board product and then new floor. The company says they can uses a self leveling product on vinyl as prep and just go over top. Please help I want to do this right the first time not cut corners and cause more expense or damage later. DO I need to run from this retail co? Thanks.
