Open Question: Cat in heat after spay?   I had my 6 month old cat spayed yesterday. She was in heat at the time, which the vet told me was OK. After sleeping much of yesterday evening, she finally awoke. She pulled off the E-collar which the vet suggested she wear to prevent licking or scratching at the incision area. She then basically started acting like she is in heat. Making loud noises. Also, she is jumping around all over the place as if she is in no pain whatsoever. I have given her pain meds that the vet gave to take home. She seems to be in no pain and is hopping around like a gymnast.
