Open Question: Decorating - High Ceilings?I am looking to buy a place (its a small place - 2 bedrooms and a total square footage of 650 sq feet). The ceilings are 18 feet. Any ideas? I am having trouble finding really helpful decorating ideas out there. Thanks! Open Question: do some apartments allow you to paint your walls?Open Question: tile question please help noone is!!!!?please help or give me suggestions if you can noone is helping me! :p ok we are buying a house that needs a style overhaul, but we will be short on cash for awhile. so ive been trying to think of ways we can cut corners until we can do what we really want.... there is white ceramic (i think) tile in the kitchen. its not a huge space, i think 12 x 10 so there is not much floor. the tiles were kinda small, maybe 6 x 6. anyway, instead of spending the money on supplies to remove the tiles and replace it i was thinking for now i could paint the grout like a dark brown and then paint the tiles some kind of medium brownish/reddish shade. who knows maybe ill like it so much i would want to change it lol. anyways what kind of paint would i use for this? would there be a way to give the tile a faux finish to make it look like stone or marble or something? Open Question: PLEASE HELP ME! I NEED ADVICE ON MY BATHROOM!!?Sorry for the caps but ive asked this question 3 times and noone wants to help me!!! :) so we are moving into a house that has a less than desirable bathroom, but we wont have enough to remodel it for awhile. its really not toooo bad, but i have close to no vision with what to do... the walls are like a warm tan, which i like. but they tiled the majority of the bathtub/shower area with white tile, with a line of black tile that goes all the around to accent... there is a ugly window right in the middle of the wall. tub is white. floor tiles are 12x12 white. sink is light brown marble. wood stand is a medium light wood. wood trim around mirror is same color. o and there are sliding glass doors on the tub with an ugly swan design. so what kind of accessories/colors could i do to make this more personal? i love warm rich colors. all i can think to do is paint the wood a dark brown to contrast with the lighter walls and floor and sink.... any ideas?! and remember, i dont have much to invest quite yet thanks so much! Thx?Open Question: Is there a mattress size which is between a single and a double?I've been searching for a slightly larger bed, but my room is still reasonably small.
