Open Question: Doing my room in black, white, and black.? and more... Open Question: Doing my room in black, white, and black.?i am going to paint one wall red, my 2 smallest walls black, and the other one white. my cover is white and my shelves & computer desk are black but i have a lounge chair and it is tan. i can't get it reupholstered and i don't want to get rid of it what should i do with it? Open Question: how are 1905 walls constructed?Hi I am wanting to take down the horse hair plaster on 1 wall (both sides)and reveal the 100 year old slats that will then be refinish and stained. the other day I cracked a corner to see the slats(lattice?) and I could feel a big draft coming from the hole. I wonder if I would have to take the slats off at the bottom foot of each side of the wall and insulate the surrounding base of the wall with foam or silicone? I have been told that back in the day they use to think a wall had to have a beam running under it for support so why the draft of air then? anyways If you have any knowledge to share It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Open Question: Which Bedroom should i chose?! Please Help?Ok well my parents are letting me choose between to bedrooms. One on them is on the top floor, and it is a normal square room and has a BIG window. and another smaller window. But in the basement there is a room that has a little square room connected to it. and also a food room connected to it. But this one doesnt have ANY windows. But there is a staircase leading to the garage. And there is no bathroom in the basement. But this room is also bigger. But my parents said i wont beable to lock the doors cuz they will need to get food. and i just dont know which one to use. Im already in the top floor one but i can change at anytime. Oh and with the basement room i wont wake up my rents when i want to get food or something in the middle floor, or if i have friends over. And the basement bedroom is the only bedroom down there. Open Question: What would be the best way to hang wood letters in a child's room?I'm painting individual letters to a child's name. They are about 6" in height by approx 3"wide. I am trying to think of the best way to hang the letters on the wall. Any ideas? I've seen it with ribbon which must have been stapled on the back and then hung from a nail. Then I have seen them hanging with only the letters in which I am not sure what is used on the back to hang them up. More Recent Articles |
