Open Question: how could i make this bathroom mine w/o cost?so we are moving into a house that has a less than desirable bathroom, but we wont have enough to remodel it for awhile. its really not toooo bad, but i have close to no vision with what to do... the walls are like a warm tan, which i like. but they tiled the majority of the bathtub/shower area with white tile, with a line of black tile that goes all the around to accent... there is a ugly window right in the middle of the wall. tub is white. floor tiles are 12x12 white. sink is light brown marble. wood stand is a medium light wood. wood trim around mirror is same color. o and there are sliding glass doors on the tub with an ugly swan design. so what kind of accessories/colors could i do to make this more personal? i love warm rich colors. all i can think to do is paint the wood a dark brown to contrast with the lighter walls and floor and sink.... any ideas?! and remember, i dont have much to invest quite yet thanks! We just ripped up all the old carpet in our home and discovered multi colored grey terrazzo floors underneath. We had them re-polished and they are great. We have a new true Lipstick Red (NOT orange-red) sofa, chair and ottoman. Our furniture is blonde wood and our accent pieces are black wrought iron. My artwork is abstract to "funky representational" and colorful. The soft yellow walls are just not cutting it. The living room has two openings to our kitchen, so we want to repaint the living room, kitchen and hallway. I have no problems with color, and would like to have one of the living room walls match the kitchen wall color for continuity and follow-through. Kitchen cabinets are blonde wood with gray countertops. Kitchen appliances are white (came with the house) and my countertop appliances are red. (Can you tell Red is my favorite color?) Any and all advice and ideas are welcome! Thank you! Open Question: Tv stand...Composite board?I'm looking online at a tv stand that says it's made of Composite Board with durable PVC Laminate. What is this? Is it just like particle board? I don't understand what the pvc laminate is. Any insight? It's for my son's tv for his bedroom. Not for living room or naything. I know I'm painting it a baby pink. I have black furniture with silver detailing. In the room there is two windows.
