Open Question: How do I figure out how much to allocate for remodeling a kitchen and two bathrooms from one total amount?I have one total amount of money to spend on renovating a kitchen and two full baths. How do I figure out how much to allocate for each room? I am about to delve into the kitchen project but don't know how much to allow myself to spend on it. I don't want to overspend and have too little to do what I want to do in the master bath. On the other hand, I don't want to spend too little out of caution and wish I'd spent more to get what I wanted. Open Question: Redecorating my room and I can't paint the walls or change the curtains. Any ideas? My room is yellow and I have lot's of windows, two of which cover two walls. I'm 14 and I want to make it less boring. There are a few posters on the walls and I have a huge bookshelf covering half of another wall. I want my room to look different to my friends but still cool. Any ideas? I would like to achieve a more traditional look and can even deal with painting the wood but I hate the marble it makes the room look like it fell out of 1991. Open Question: I'm buying this bed, and I'm about to redo my room. What style/colors should I go for?http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6E.aspx?DeptID=72403&CatID=72691&GrpTyp=ENS&ItemID=1417738&attrtype=&attrvalue=&CMID=72403|72688&Fltr=&Srt=&QL=F&IND=5&cmVirtualCat=&CmCatId=72403|72688|72691 http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?GrpTyp=PRD&ItemID=1424893&RefPage=X6E&deptID=72403&catID=72691&cmOrigID=1417738&cmPosID=4&CmCatId=72403|72688|72691 I'm a teen. I like bold colors, but I don't want it too dark. And light colors aren't doing it for me. I want too feel like I'm on vacation, or in a hideaway. Open Question: can i put a dishwasher next to the stove? The only place I have to put a dishwasher is next to the stove and it would have to be an 18 inch dishwasher. I have an electric stove. Open Question: How should a 15 year old girl decorate her room?Well I painted my room in 6th grade pink. I like it still but it looks really childish. One wall is a dark rose color. I really like that color, but I feel if the whole room was that color it would be too dark. I have white sheets with rainbow polka dots, which I also find childish and a little too girly for my taste. But if I was to repaint my room, I don't want purple, orange, green, or yellow. I like like an aqua color maybe, but I can't think of a good color. Well, what I'm basically saying is I think my room is too girly because I've changed a lot over the years. I like alternative music and i dress really simple. I like pink and all, but I'm tired of it. I don't quit know if I want to repaint it because it's a big room. I'm not saying I couldn't but it's a big job, the primer, then two coats....and so on. Also another question I had was what should I have on my walls? Right now I have my cheer pictures on one part of my walls. I also have a bulletin board with my pictures on it. And three shelves with my books, and little figurines and stuff like that. On my desk and dresser l have a stereo, candles (which I have a collection of), piggy bank, & some frames. But I don't have any posters. That's what I was wondering about. What kind of posters should I have, because I want some? And I should Probably tell you that I share a room with my little sister, who is 11. So what I'm asking is: -What should I do about the color of the room? -Decorations? -Where can I find cute bedding that's not to girly? -Where can I get posters? Thanks!!! Open Question: Is there someplace online that i can send a photo of an antique chair that Ive got to find out the value?I have a unique, corner style, antique chair that I posted on craigslist for $25.00. After a women called me, freaking out about it, and had to have it at that price, I did a bit of research and found many chairs very similar to mine on eBay for over $500.00, I just want to get an idea, for free, because I simply cannot afford to pay an appraiser. If I did, i wouldnt be selling the chair(lol) More Recent Articles
