Open Question: What is the CHEAPEST flooring I can get? carpet? laminate?Wondering what would be the cheapest flooring that I can get? I currently have carpet, but the kids and animals are destroying it day by day. I have concrete underneath my carpet. My house is only about 1900 sq feet, so what is my best option? or is carpet the cheapest I can go with? When I rehabbed the house, it cost me $1050 to carpet the whole house other than the bathroom and kitchen. I really would like laminate flooring, and if you have installed this before... is it difficult to install? Supposedly they have some kind of locking mechanism or something...... and suggestions and info will be given 10pts from me! Open Question: How much yardage of fabric do I need to cover an 18X18 room?The fabric I am looking to get is 52" wide and I am about to go crazy trying to figure out the yardage I will need. I want to just purchase the amount of yardage in one strip and I will cut it into the number of strips I need. BUT I AM BEYOND CONFUSED! I keep coming up with 35 yards and that is just crazy if that is accurate! The fabric can only be purchased in whole yards and the room is a little over 18 feet wide and long, so I was calculating on a 19X19 number. Please help! Thanks!
