Open Question: I want to drop out of college and pursue a career in cosmetology, is this a bad idea?

I'm a second semester sophomore in college, and I've been seriously struggling these past 2 years. My freshmen year of college I barely made it through and didn't put any effort in but managed to pass. I ended up transferring to a school closer to home. This past semester I failed 2 classes and am on academic probation. I've never been excited to be in college, it was just always pushed by my parents without me having a say at all. In junior high I wanted to go to a vocational school & study cosmetology but my parents wouldn't listen to me since I wouldn't be going to college if I went to a vocational high school. So when I got to college I picked a major that didn't seem completely boring and have been just barely making it through. My parents are finally getting the point that I'm seriously struggling, but would cosmetology school be a good idea? How much money do they typically make? I don't want to waste these past 2 years if cosmetology school would be a terrible career choice. Thanks for the advice :)
