Open Question: We need to make a huge banquet hall look smaller from our junior prom. Any ideas?!? Please help!?

Our prom is going to be held in a huge banquet/reception hall. Last year's prom was awful because everything was so spread out and didn't seem to "flow". Our prom theme is old hollywood and we would like to try to divide the hall to seem smaller and centered. If you have any ideas please let me know. Also we have thought of possibly a wall made from balloons? but have no idea how that would work. Any ideas are welcome and also if you have ideas about other decorations for our theme please add those in too. Thanks so much!!

Open Question: Do stacked townhouses need quick response sprinklers?

Hi all, I live in a stacked townhouse unit in Toronto, Ontario. We are currently looking to get permits for our basement renovations but have come across a few obstacles... We have sprinklers in our unit and they were recently modified so that we could finish our ceiling and that the sprinklers would be flushed against the ceiling. The company responsible for the fire system in our condo did the work. In trying to get permits for the basement renovation, our condo board is asking for a P. Eng specializing in Fire Protection to complete a drawing to validate that there's still 100% fire protection in the basement (post reno). The P Eng came out today and have discovered that the work done was not to code. Apparently the new sprinkler heads were not the "fast response" type and therefore would need to be replaced. I have been looking at the building code amendments but have not been able to find anything to support that fast response sprinklers are required. Would anyone be able to confirm this? I am really hoping to show some facts to the company that did the original work so they have no excuses. Thanks in advance!

Open Question: Have any Australians used Ideal Standard toilets ? I'm renovating my ensuite in Sydney.?

I'd like to know if this UK brand is suitable and good here e.g. does the water come up too shallow/deep for Australian standards, do they honour their warranty, any other issues you might have encountered etc. I'm going for a hidden cistern, floor mounted toilet. Thanks !
