Same furniture, same posters, and same bedding. Money is tight, so I can't spend a lot. What are some ways to update it into a cool teen room? What would you do with your room if you had this headboard? I can't go too girly given that my husband and I share this room- but I also don't want it to be too masculine. I'm not a fan of floral patterns. I don't want the room to be too bright nor too dark- we get a lot of natural light all day long. The room is just a basic box with two windows on the North Wall opposite the entry door and closet door on the South Wall, the bathroom door in the far corner of the East Wall and a blank slate (and our King bed centered) on the West wall. Open Question: Lumber liquidaters sales rep says 5/16 inch bellawood solid hardwood floor is too thin. Is he right?We are deciding between the 3/8 inch or the 5/16 bellawood brazilllian chestnut. The sales rep says 5/16 is too thin but then how come they make it. It got good reviews buy he says go 1/2 inch minimum. Is he trying to sell the pricier product? We simply can't afford the thicker hardwood and would rather go with a solid thin hardwood then engineered or laminate. He says someone heavier could damage the floor that thin which makes no sense cause then why would you sell it then. Sorry for my grammar mistakes. Typing on a phone. A slightly darker shade than the bedding blue. And I dont like it. My husband is ready to kill me. (we had paid someone to paint the walls before to match an old bedding set last summer and she took the more money than we agreed to and ruined our room) So now, i have 4 walls of an overwhelming slate blue. I tend to have a "matchy-matchy" personality and and I know I dont need to be. I like the decoration style similar to what is sold at Kirkland's. I was thinking of ragging a color over what I have now. If i did that, what color ragging glaze should i use?? What do you think? PS. The blue looks really good when there is natural light in the room but my bedroom is very very dark. The color of the blue paint in the sun is much lighter than the color as it looks in my dimly lit bedroom. Either way, its still kind of flat and boring. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
