Open Question: how to install linoleum on wood?

We live in a town-home and my husband and I installed the square linoleum floor (that looks similar to tile) a few years ago in our downstairs kitchen, dining room and half bathroom. I now want the same flooring in my upstairs full bathroom, where we currently have ugly rolled linoleum. My husband is not helping because he really does not mind the way it is now, so im not going to him for help...im going to all of you helpful strangers, home depot and Lowe's Now, if i am correct, you should or maybe even have to pull up the the floor that is already there, which should be fairly easy because I helped my husband before and a few years ago our dog pulled up some of it in the corner. Plus I just want the old ugly flooring that is there now, OUT! Now the only issue is below the flooring is WOOD, not cement like our floor downstairs...so, will the linoleum stick well to the wood just as it did to cement or do i have to prepare it with something before placing down the square linoleum? I think i already know the basics since we did this before, it was not an easy job, but we did it... should it be easy for me this time, with different flooring? or am i getting into something that is much more difficult than the work downstairs Help please, thanks
