Open Question: Metal Tube Bunk Bed - How Made?On a metal tube type bunk bed, how many pieces does it come in to be assembled and what are those pieces? I have found a bed we are considering, but it is a bunk and we would like to use just the top part (like a loft bed). We would have other items underneath to stabilize. But is that even possible? Can you leave off the bottom bunk mattress slats/holder piece, and still have the complete sides? There is a seperate part to our house, and the walls in that room look terribly plain, and white. I was looking into painting an image onto that wall (it doesn't even have to be painting, but i see painting as the best option for my skill level, i've never used spray paints before, but i did consider them, but seeing as i have never used them...), but to do that neatly, i would need a template for it. But i am not sure what material would be best for making a template. The materials so far, that i have thought of, are plywood and foam. Though i have heard that it is not reccomended to use foam. If i were to use plywood i wouldn't know how to cut it... Please give me your thoughts, ideas and feedback. @ me Yes, i am aware of that method. But i am not sure where i would be able to obtain one? I mean i am able to make an acetate of the image. But do not know where i will get a projector... or hire one (because i don't exactly want to buy one...) Thanks. What about putting a base coat on and then use one of those textured rollers to imprint an abstract design? How do those work? If I make more than one pass with the textured roller will it not mess the pattern up? I don't know if they were making a statement or what, it's tan with thin beige, brown and blue stripes, it looks very masculine. Anyone who knows me knows I like vintage, quilt patterns, and color! And their father doesn't really care, but we have to use this comforter because his daughters gave it to us. I wouldn't have the bedroom look too feminine, but this comforter is too masculine and it doesn't go with anything else in the room.
