Open Question: re-flooring kitchen (what about cabinets?)?

I am in the process of buying a house.. and we have just seen one with a nice kitchen but ugly ceramic tile flooring. Is it possible to refloor the kitchen without disassemble all of the cabinets? we would like to put a nice quality laminate... but we don`t know if the presence of the cabinets will make everything more expensive for us (we would use a decorator, not do it ourselves). your help is really appreciated!

Open Question: Has anyone used scratch coat cement and epoxy to cover walls for a shower?

thinking of using Wedi Board to renovate a shower, this product is great for tile but saw a show room shower that used scratch coat cement, how hard is this to do compared to tiling?
