Open Question: What is the best DIY laminate flooring?

What is the best laminate flooring for DIY installation and for long wear/life? I have read the Consumer Reports article, but want real world experiences as well. Thanks!

Open Question: Help! I need help choosing a color scheme centered around an upholstered headboard!?

I have an upholstered headboard made from this fabric in my bedroom. The fabric looks like this http://www.calicocorners.com/product/designer+fabrics+for+the+home/shop+fabrics+by+color/purple/stockholm+berry.do?search=basic&keyword=stockholm&sortby=priceAscend&page=1 Now I don't know what other colors, textiles, window treatments, area rug, furniture, etc. I should bring into the bedroom to match such a bold fabric choice. I really love the look of the headboard, but I don't know what will look good in the room with it, lol. Please help!

Open Question: Bedroom Re-design help!?

Heres what I've got: Walnut (dark) brown '80s Henredon bedset. (dresser, 2 night stands & queen bed) It's gorgeous and I love it. I also have a really ultra-modern desk made of light maple veneer and black metal. It is ugly and I want to get rid of it but can't. :( The walls in my room are tan (also gorgeous and it can't change) The trim (mouldings etc) are off white, and the carpet is a gray/tan color. The accents in my room (door knobs, lighting closet pulls) are bronze AKA fake gold. I am looking for an idea for a color scheme (involving curtains, rug, bedding, towel sets and accessories) that blend well together (not too matchy-matchy) and conveys a more traditional sophisticated feel. I also have a really ultra-modern desk made of light maple veneer and black metal. I can't and wont change the paint, fixtures, carpet or furniture. Please nothing purple or pink! I've been looking but I just can't find anything. Please help! :D Haha. The cow is fine in her barn... It's ME that needs a new room!

Open Question: Need Help!! I am re-doing my bathroom walls and i have a great idea just need some help.?

Instead of painting or wallpaper i want to get old newspaper clippings for the bathroom wall . I would like to cover the whole space , but my issue is i don't want to do pictures frames, i want to do more of a collage theme. How would i go about doing this without it ruining the paper and making it warped looking, is there some sort of plastic laminate i could use? Please help
