Open Question: What would be a durable paint to use on wooden railings?I have wooden stairway railings that we painted white, with an enamel paint, and a clear coat. It is now chipped, and we want to repaint it. We did use primer as a base coat. What kind of paint could we use, that wouldn't chip, or at won't chip easily. Thanks. Open Question: The pictures on my living room wall are lost...?I have a huge wall in my living room that has 4 pictures of my son centered (all in 8x10 frames). I want to put something else on the wall like shelves or wall art but I'm not sure where to put them. I feel like the 4 pics are lost because the wall is so big. Should I put the shelves on the side of the frames, on the top, on the bottom. I"m not moving the pictures so that's not an option, I want to work around them. Any advice or pics would be great. My walls are dark purple right now but there way to dark!. i dont have a like in my room just a tall lamp so i need the color to be lighter, so it will brighten the room up. I dont really have a fav color because i change it so often. so its really up to you. My floors and a dark brown woodish type, and i have built in dressors and a make up stand that are the same color. I have a t.v. stand that lime greenish. and im gonna by a white comforter foe my bed, with different color striped sheets. When I went to see the place, I noticed that there are filled holes right along the line where I was planning to nail my base frame. My question is, does adding more holes weaken the basement, or cause leakage? I haven't seen any sign of leackage in the basement. So, I don't think the filled holes didn't cause any either.
