Open Question: What would I have to do to stucco/plaster the interior wood walls and plaster ceiling of a house?

A picture of the interior of the house is hosted on photobucket: http://s845.photobucket.com/albums/ab13/bioxpk/?action=view¤t=skylineinterior.jpg I am considering placing a bid to purchase this home, but was wondering what I would need to do to update the interior. The house was built in the early 80's and has this odd plaster ceiling in a repeating circular pattern. The walls looks to be some kind of wood paneling, it looks to have indent ions but be comprised of one solid piece. I may be mistaken...it could possibly be separate pieces of wood. I was reading up in stucco work, but I am new to this. There is talk about hanging wire and applying the material to that, is ta ht only necessary for exterior. I know when my parents built their hose they had drywall installed and the plaster applied with an air gun. I want that look, but want to know if I could plaster the wall and ceiling indent ions to get a flat surface to texture over. I want to avoid putting up drywall or mesh if that is possible. If it helps the wall paint is very recent that you see in the picture. Thanks for your time, Daniel

Open Question: stripping pink pickled cabinets?

I am trying to refinish them darker, but they seem to have a kind of wispy white paint down in the grain which shows when I re-stain them. Any suggestions to get this out and any experiences positive or negative out there?
