Open Question: Will drinking water with drywall mud in it hurt my cat?

We are building a new wall in the house, and my boyfriend left a water bucket out overnight. The water has a thin layer of drywall mud in the bottom, and ever since that first night, the cats have been drinking that water exclusively. They haven't touched their water fountain in the kitchen. They aren't acting funny, and since the bucket is really heavy and we'll need it some more, we've just left it out. Drinking that water won't hurt them, will it? Any ideas about why they like it so much? I thought that it might be because it tastes more natural with that rocky stuff in it. Any input?

Open Question: Loss of privacy from Lean-to Conservatory?

We have just moved into a new property and our neighbours lean-to style conservatory which is on the side of the property is directly looking into our side kitchen window and rear garden. This has been built only a matter of apx 450mm from our boundary. This was an addition to the property a few years ago when there was no planning required to add a lean-to. Although we could put up a 6ft fence is there any other option?

Open Question: Where to buy yellow curtains in London?

Hi I'm looking for some solid yellow curtains for a baby's room, as cheap as possible. Ideally I'd like to go in to a shop and look around at some fabrics but have no clue where to start. Anyone any ideas? Or if buying online is the only option, the width of the window is 160cm and the drop is 130cm, and I can't find any reasonably priced solid yellow curtains anywhere. Any help greatly appreciated!

Open Question: Where can you find affordable corner desks?

I need a corner desk for my room. Preferably white, maybe black. I don't need it to be huge just big enough for computer, speakers, and a printer. I checked Ikea, Office Max, Office Depot, and all of those types of stores. Thank you!

Open Question: Help re-decorating my room! I want black and white theme!!?

I am planning on redecorating my room and i really like the black and white theme idea. I want to have black and white posters on the wall of hollywood or Audrey Hepburn or something...I want sheets and curtains and everything but i don't want those silly polka dot ones. I want to change it from a pink and purple room to a sophisticated nice room...I don't want it to look TOO grown up but it defiantly needs to mature. If you have any ideas for things i can add or sheets or curtains i can use please help!!! Thanks

Open Question: Valspar Paint (Lowes) in Martha Stewarts Magazine?

Hello, I have been saving a MS Magazine for months. The magazine incldues a Lowe's advertisement that has a Navy/Gray wall. It's in a formal living room with hardwood floors and the room has a white trim. The color is in the beginning of the magazine. Lowe's provides the paint color in the Magazine located in the fine print on the page. If you have it, please send me the paint color. I went to Lowe's and saw a similar color but it wasn't precise. Thank you very much, Caroline

Open Question: My apartment complex wants to replace the entire carpet for a little stain.?

It's a stain that's 9"x9" in the bathroom in front of the sink. Who has carpet in a bathroom anyway. It's a nice suburban apartment complex so i understand they would want to replace the carpet but they want to replace 1300 square feet of carpet for one little spot. So how much will that cost and can they really do that? Also the stain was caused by temproraty hair dye. How can i get it out? http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll53/waterlemonpizza/SSPX0063.jpg And by the way this is a townhome in a apartment complex and they want to replace the carpet on the first and second floor.

Open Question: How to paint a wall that really humid?

Ok so im painting my room in the basement and two of the wall just seem to be rejecting the paint. If you touch the walls they feel super wet like as if they were to be covered in water. Which just makes them hard to paint on.I've tried drying them with a towel then quickly painting over them and using my hair dryer to dry the paint but then the water seems to seep though the cracks in my ceiling and messes up the paint again and then the paint starts running down the walls. So i want to know if i did something wrong like get the wrong paint (kilz which the guy who sold me the paint say was the best) or what i should do because i don't want to keep having to buy paint if its just going to go to waste.
