Thanks, and if yes where?

Hello! So I need to redo my room: it has beige walls, a boring flat wide bed, a boring night stand and a boring dresser! What I want to do is get my wall painted blue ( this is an extra it doesn't have to be painted.) Well I wanted one of those bunk beds where there's a desk connected underneath it. I also want a matching bookcase and for part of the bed I need like cubbies to store clothes in! I all need this to fit in to a $1,000 budget not including the paint! thx! links are apreciated!

My fiancee and I are looking for a house to rent. Came across a nice one today, the only con being that the kitchen and bathroom have carpet flooring. We have two almost-5-year-olds. We're worried about spilled food and overflowing toilets. The carpetting is the only issue keeping us from settling there. If you have carpet in the kitchen and/or bathroom, how much of an inconvenience is it for you? I should probably also mention that it's off-white/cream carpet...
