Open Question: Can you hang a flat screen tv over a fireplace?We have always had pictures hanging there and stuff on the mantle. I would like to rearrange my living room and the way I would like it would leave the tv along that wall. The wall does NOT get hot what so ever even with a fire going. Has anyone else done this? I don't care about the waranty. The tv's are cheap enough that if something were to go wrong we would just replace it. Open Question: rough estimate on carpet for hall stairs and landing?Open Question: Stripping wooden furniture ?I have just recently bought an old STAG MINSTREL sideboard and i would like to know if it would be possible to strip it back a bit and stain it again to give it a new lease of life. I'm unsure whether this has a veneer or just highly polished. Could i just sand it down or do i have to strip it right back ??? Does having a veneer make things trickier ??? Open Question: How much would it cost to double-pane windows, approx 5 feet x 3 feet?I need to know this because we are considering replacing some windows. there are three windows stacked on top of each other with dividers in between, two 5x3, and one 5x5. We also plan on placing aero-gel or a similar, cheaper insulator (please suggest) in between the double panes. Can someone tell me what it would cost to buy/install double panes of that size?
