Open Question: DECORATING MY ROOM WITH CHINESE LANTERNS?

I'm giving my room a mini redo. I'm painting the walls and I want to hang a couple chinese lanterns, the round kind. I have a darker room so I want some light as well as decoration to come from the lanterns. Where do I find them? What do I use to put lights in them? I like the kind with straight lines not ones that cross and I don't want anything super expensive. Thanks!

Open Question: In digital art what does it mean when a color compliments another color and why is it beneficial to a painting?

I am learning color theory and I have read about 2 colors complimenting each other but I cannot find a detailed explaination what it means. I do know that a complimentaty color is a color opposite another on the color wheel. But what does it mean when a color compliments another? why is it important to use 2 opposite colors in a painting?

Open Question: What color should I paint my dresser and bedside table?

I just bought a fixer upper and i am not sure if i am going to be able to stain it. The bedding in the room is brown, sage green, and ivory. The walls are neutral. This is a small pic of the bedding http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41TPk56kt6L._SL160_.jpg
