I am moving out of my current apartment with basically nothing. I have tried looking everywhere, the Salvation Army, Savers, Walmart, Target, JCPenny Home Store (which was extremely expensive), and plenty of other places. I am not really interested in the rent to own deal as well because I feel in the end I would pay more than anything is worth. Open Question: How can you tell if furniture is antique?My mom gave me this hutch/desk. It's a 2 section piece. The top being all glass (3 doors that lock)& bottom drawers & cabinets. Is that a valid concern? Open Question: How should I re-arrange my room?I have this habit of changing things a lot, and I need to change my room up haha. My only thing is that The bed can't go by the closet door, cause the headboard is so big, And I can't have the bed jutting out in the middle of the room with nothing on the sides (like, it has to be against a window, because it saves space, and I have this wierd phobia where I've got to have things around me. There used to be a lable so I ripped it off, but the suface was still sticky. So we used nail polish remover to get it off. Mabey this affected it, I don't know. There is only 3 layers of paint, so I have no idea what happend! Open Question: Suggestions: best way to do a tree silhouette mural?I'm painting my room soon, an earthy blue-green color with white borders and such. I want to put in one of those large tree silhouettes in white. All we've come up with on how to do it is graphing it on: drawing a grid on the wall in pencil and transferring the image from a gridded paper by hand. Paint it in, then wash off the pencil.
