Open Question: Using a new set of top sheets for curtains. Would it look tacky?I'm redecorating my bedroom and I got a new Duvet Cover, 2 new sets of sheets, and I'm doing Vinyl Wall Stickers in matching colors to the Duvet Cover. I have microfiber curtains up now that block the light from the street and I was thinking that I could put those in my father's bedroom and use a double thickness of Ikea Sheets to replace the microfiber curtains. My sheets are deep brandy/purple, my duvet cover is stripes of dark blue, green, mauve, & brandy/purple. ANDREA SATIN Duvet cover and pillowsham(s) in Purple/MultiColor http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/00145630 (The colors are much darker and deeper than in the photo) The Vinyl Wall Stickers are squares of Dark Purple, and a blue and green to match the duvet cover... I was thinking of using 2 queen sized flat sheets to span my whole window. Back sheet black (to block out the light) and the room-facing sheet the same purple on my bed. I would use silver colored rings to hang the sheets back to back, think same idea as shower curtain rings. (I'm debating if I would go as far as to grommet the sheets together, that is an option since I have a grommet tool.) But for now I'm thinking SIMPLE.
