Open Question: how can i convince my parents to let me convert our basement into my bedroom?i'm 15, and honors student, and really responsible. we have a finished basement with heat, dry wall on most of the walls, cement floors, one side has rug. i have always wanted to convert it into a bedroom. i calculated the cost of doing this (for things like accessories i don't really need any furniture) and it would be around $300 give or take. i'm completely willing to pay this myself i already have almost $200 saved so i really wouldn't mind. so i have taken care of cost related issues but how can i convince them to let me move down their and that i would be fine? our house is floors counting the basement and the bedrooms are on the third. so that would probably be something my mom worried about but any suggestions on how to convince her that i will be fine? also the only other problem is that when it rains a lot rain seeps up through the floor, not a lot just like a puddle, right know we use this special vacuum to clean it up but is their any way to stop this from happening completely? thanks for your help!
