Open Question: How do you put out a candle that's been out for years?Open Question: How much does it cost to finish a 900 sq foot basement?Please dont tell me to call a contractor. I cant. A contractor will tell me he needs to do a in-home estimate to determine this, but i dont own the house yet. I am just trying to get a general idea on how much it would cost me if I were to close on this house.... So approx how much do you think i would be charged for labor/materials if i just wanted the basics- installing insulation and drywall, and walling around the space under the stairs and around the furnace? i have friends who do electrical and flooring for a living so i dont need a contractor for that, and me and hubby can do a suspended ceiling and do painting etc, so all i really need are the walls done... any idea? the walls are concrete... so by what you say, maybe about $1000 or so for the walls? thats not too bad...
