Open Question: How to Paint Spots on the wall? and more... Open Question: How to Paint Spots on the wall? So, repainting three rooms. Right now Its just getting the paint/Primer coat and it actually is a pretty flat white paint. My idea for one of the rooms is trying to paint small spots on the wall in Red, Yellow, and Blue. But the key is I want small spots, and I didn't really want it to run. I thought of putting the paint in some spray bottle but I doubt that would work. I have an airless sprayer But that puts out to much paint. (I thought of just standing back farther so it wouldn't coat the wall as much?) I thought of just dipping the brush in the paint and then flicking it on the wall, but I fear again I'll get lines. I saw a thing of painting a hockey helmet and the guy sprayed water on the helmet and then sprayed paint on it. I guess the paint in the water droplets dried in a small water spots. (I'm not sure how that would look). Any idea. ? Open Question: I'm trying to make a simple bow like in this picture to match the crib bedding I had made for my baby:?http://www.dimplesanddandelions.com/zoom2.asp?Product_ID=18354&Image=1 I just got a sewing machine and am VERY new to sewing. I have the fabric I need I just need a little guidance on how to make this simple bow. Thanks for any help!!! Open Question: Decor ideas based off of specific vintage poster? In an antique store the other day I found two tin wall hangings, one of which is this: http://www.internationalposter.com/poster-details.aspx?id=MTL00037 The other is similiar but of a french play. I found them for much cheaper since they are copies of course. My question is this: I was thinking of doing a SUBTLE old european entertainment theme in my living room. Anyone have any ideas on how I can do this SUBTLY without it being overwhelming, gawdy, or obvious? Just using the picture as inspiration I guess... Specific examples as well as website or ideas would be great! Thanks! Open Question: what to do with the main room of my apartment if i already have a living room?Ok, so I've lived in my condo for about a year and a half, but due to an odd upstairs neighbor, who just moved out last week(thankfully), I haven't been able to do anything with the main front room, you know the room you walk into when you walk into an apt/condo. Therefore, my living room is in my second bedroom which is right next to the main room, so it doesn't look weird or anything. I already have my tv wall mounted and everything decorated in there. The main room has a giant chair, coffee table, and 2 barstools that are at the kitchen counter. Basically, it is just an odd space. I would love to do something with this this room before next Thursday when I happen to be throwing a party. Would it be too odd to have another sitting room set up? If I went to get a vintage couch and got rid of the chair? More Recent Articles
