Open Question: I always thought....?I always thought that Japanese beds were supposed to just be a matress on the ground.... but i was looking at them cause i want to turn my room into a Japanese room to relax more, but the beds i saw had a frame, would it still be Japaneseish if i just put a matress on the ground???? Our plan is to knock down the wall between the kitchen and the current dining room and make the entire space a new kitchen. Then we are going to make the formal living room a dining room. The only problem is that the new dining room is rather large and has a vaulted ceiling. My dining room set only consists of a table and a buffet. I'm afraid they are going to look very small and sad in that space. Do you have any suggestions for filling out that dining room and making it more welcoming and appealing? Our new kitchen is going to have a bar/breakfast nook in it, so I'm really wanting the dining room space to be a more formal space. I do love the informal eating area too though! Open Question: a beach themed bedroom?i love the beach so i was thinking i could decorate my room kinda like one,since I'm already getting 3 walls replaced(out of 6 )(oddly shaped room,i know) so i was thinking light blue walls but one of the walls is sticking out i little because in the next room there's a fireplace,so for that wall i was thinking like a beach scene,a little sandy paint on the bottom with beautiful ocean stretching out over the horizon and there would be a silhouette of a palm tree...get a yellow rug for the center of the wooden floor , hang paper lanterns, sea shells around the room , (and if i can find a cheap one, for a room,a lifeguard chair :) ) I'll hang posters and a wooden tiki head i have oh and while i was bored i made a hammock :) its made outta sheets, but i didn't have rope :) What do you think of this bedroom idea/ anything to add to it??
