Open Question: If I remodel a restaurant, do I need to get a city's permit or permission?I'm purchasing a restaurant in Azusa, CA and will remodel the old place. My plan is to move the original entry door facing the north side to facing the east side of the restaurant for better access. Do I need to get the city's permission to do that or can I do that without notifying them? Thank you for your response. It has 2600 sq. ft. but it needs work new roof, painting?in all rooms, two bathrooms needs new floor tiles, new doors on the closets, and fireplace needs new tiles at the bottom of the mantle, has no heat pump. Any ideas Open Question: Is installing PreFab granite almost more expensive then purchasing and installing custom granite?We purchased prefab granite for our kitchen. There is no island or penisula and the granite will have no exposed sides. It will require a few seams in order to get the needed length. We met with a granite installer last night and he quotes us $1800 to install (not purchase the prefab) and $2500 (Level 1 granite) to install and purchase a custom cut granite slab. Does this seem right? If we go with the custom slab we can undermount our sink which would be the best option. Do you think he's trying to rip us off on installation in order to sell us a new counter? Please help...
