Open Question: Ihave a dresser that has smooth paint on it i want to repaint it can i just put primer and the paint?Open Question: Can I paint fiberglass bathtub/shower enclosures? What sort of paint will I need? Where can I get it? (etc)?Since we are living in transitional housing (ie. mobile home - we don't plan to live here for more than 5 more years) we'd like to clean up the entire home, and that includes bathrooms. I don't have the money to invest in new enclosures for both bathrooms, but the icky golden nicotine tan is just too much. We've quit smoking, but even when it's very clean, it the walls and edges of the shower are stained a permanent roasted hue. The tub is lighter, but it's not fiberglass - would be nice if they were the same colour, lol. I figure there's probably a paint out there for this application, and there error must be in my search... Any ideas on where to find what I'm looking for, and is it worth the expense? Thanks!! Open Question: does anyone know how much 6 inch baseboards are for a certain amount of feet? thanks?Open Question: Are hemp area rugs typically coarse and not soft under your feet?I was looking at some rugs online, found one I like in hemp, one in wool. Guessing the wool will be softer under foot, but curious how rough the hemp would actually be. Open Question: I need help with my new room.?Okay, So I'm fifteen, and am in the room I had when I was five. Do you have any advice on how to make my room more like a fifteen year olds' and not a five year olds'. My Dad and I are building a loft bed from scratch. It is almost done. I'll sleep on the top and then beneath there is a desk built in with organizers. We are going for a modern theme. We will paint it a brownish black, but leave the silver carriage bolts unpainted. There will be two polished aluminum tubes on each side as railings. (eight total) The desktop will be covered with laminate that will be colored and textured to look like stainless steel. The walls will be painted a light gray. So you can see the Idea is kind of modern/Industrial. But I still have a childish dresser and bookcase with little colored knobs. Any ideas on how to make these look a little more age appropriate? Also any more tips for making the room better and older looking? My Mom already got a new comforter and pillows to go with the new colors. Anything else?? Also how about colors and styles of rugs, like a rug to go by my bed, or a little one for inside the door, etc. (we have off white carpet) Thanks for your help!
