This means I get new furniture (because I need it) new carpet, and painting the walls. I've changed my mind a few times but I absolutely love 50's style anything. I wear 50's inspired clothing, I listen to 50's music, watch I love Lucy, everything! Now I want a 50's inspired bedroom. I want a twin sized bed for sure, but what should it look like? What kind of carpet or rugs should I buy. I can't get tile or anything because we have hardwood floors and my mom doesn't want to change it. And most of all, what should my walls look like? I absolutely love the color yellow, so I want my walls to be yellow, and it has to be paint because wallpaper won't go on my walls. Maybe stripes? I was also going to hang all my Elvis records up on the wall, too. All help is appreciated! Being cognizant of the glue issue did our best to get rid of all the glue. We painted and had no issues for several years until the child left for 4 weeks one summer. The bathroom was not used. We were stunned to find a lot of the paint peeling all the way down to the wall board when she came back. What happened? Scrapping is a futile battle.
