Open Question: Is this a good deal for drywall?

My husband and I got a quote from the amish to re-drywall our house. They quoted us for $6800. The house is about 1000sq feet and we are having them gut the living room down to the studs (walls and ceiling), gut the bathroom (walls and ceiling), take out the ceilings in two of the bedrooms and gut the kitchen walls. Because of how the previous owners hung some ceiling tile and panels we were told by multiple sources that the drywall should probably come down. The work will include: 1) Doing the demo (we would have done this but the amish are only free to start asap before they begin a large project they have scheduled) 2)Hanging the drywall 3)Mud and Tape We are basically having the whole house re-drywalled. The amish said they could have it finished in less than a week. So... is $6800 a fair price? Ooops, I forgot to add that it does include all materials

Open Question: Would a fleece curtain panel insulate against heat and cold?

I am trying to insulate my home against heat and cold. I would like to make some curtains, but am not sure what kinds of fabric are good insulators. Does any thicker fabric work, or are there certain kinds that work best?

Open Question: What are the first tools I should get for fine furniture wood working?

I'm planing to make furniture for a hobby but also sell it. I am into 1700-1900 style. Like Edwardian, Victorian, Georgian, Craftsman etc... Stuff like that. I don't have a lot of money. Here is a list of tools I have: Ridgid circular saw (hand held) Bosch band saw Craftsman drill 4ft level, 2 4ft clamps, multi square, 6 inch square, Snap-On mechanical tools since I use to work on cars. I have $500 and don't know what to get. Used/new I really don't know what is the bang for my expensive hobby! I will do hand cut dove tail. I was thinking of a plunge router with option to under mount if there is such a thing? What else? I need to know the price range and the most tool I can get with 5 bill that can cut hardwood.
