I have done a giani granite on the countertops, and it turned out very good. Looks like granite. I did not continue to paint faux granite up the wall of the formica backsplash. So it looks nice and somewhat pleasing to the eye, can I sand the formica lightly, and apply a glass or mosaic tile, to the formica backsplash? Open Question: Need advice, modular home , thinking of putting sheetrock on walls and ceilings over existing material ?I have a older 70's modular home with large ceiling tiles ( length of half the house ) and thin paneling on walls, both are in tough shape, we have painted both , with no good results . Would sheetrock right over the existing material work, what problems / pitfalls, I am fairly handy but don't like fine detail work , ie trim boards and such . I have grown out of that bed now(literally) as i have had several growing spurts.
