Open Question: HELP!!! THOMAS KINKADE ARMOIRE slightly messed up...?

Hi, my aunt has an 18 year old Thomas Kinkade armoire. I set a glass on top of it, not thinking, for maybe a minute and then moved it but now there is a ring on the armoire. It's not the type of ring that you see on normal furniture. it looks like a smudge that won't come off. Does anyone know how to get this permanent smudge off before my aunt sees it??? I tried just wiping it with a wet rag...didn't work. I've furniture polished it....doesn't work. It just looks like a ring smudge!!! PLEASE do you have any tips on how to get this off? My dad suggested I lightly sand it and then re- polyurithane it... tried it.... made a big scratch.... I really need help before she sees this!!!

Open Question: I am looking for step by step instructions with pics on how to sew a comforter?

I want to sew my own down comforter using goose feathers but don't know the first thing about it. I decided that maybe I would like to use the baffle box technique but 1- cannot find anywhere I can buy a premade one that I just insert the feathers or 2- cannot find a pattern or instructions with pictures and step by step on how to do it. I kind of have an idea of what to do until it gets to the part where I have to lay the comforter down on the floor and even all of the feathers out then begin sewing the feathers in the 12 in squares. The instructions that I have found state that I need to pin it down but 1- how is that going to hold the feathers in place without allowing them to move while I sew and 2 - What sewing machine do I need to be able to do that? They are all so small! How is the comforter even going to fit in there in order for me to sew it?! Do I have to do it by hand when I get to that point? Wow if so that is going to be really time consuming!!!! Help please.
