Why did the paint all come off the next day?It's a wooden counter top. I sanded it down with 100, 150, then 220 sandpaper, and then painted it. The next day I set something down on it, and it caused the paint to break in one spot. I tried to break the piece off, but all the paint came off in one big "sheet" of paint. I was able to roll it all up into a big ball and the counter top is bare again. What kind of paint should I be using? This is for the customer counter in a tattoo shop. Open Question: What is the best paint to use on furniture (i.e. dresser)?Open Question: I recently moved and I have a Pottery Barn lamp with a bronze finish that I taped the cord to while moving.?So when I took the tape off the lamp, I noticed there was some sticker residue. I made a bad decision and dabbed a little nail polish remover on the base to get the sticker residue off and it has removed the bronze finishing of the base of the lamp. It is not a huge deal but if any one knows a simple way to refinish this part of the lamp to it's original bronze finish, I'm all ears. I've thought about using a bronze spray paint but I would like it to be an even tone and would rather hear any and all suggestions first. Please let me know if anyone has any good suggestions.
