Open Question: Prom Theme: Fire and Ice Decorations Ideas?Hi, I'm apart of my prom commitee and Im trying to come up with ideas on how to decorate our venue for prom 2010. Our theme is fire and ice. I need decoration ideas, table clothes ideas, wall murals, centerpeices everything and anything. any ideas would be great. thanks. :) our prom is for around 300 students and we want it to be great and outstanding. Open Question: What room theme would go good for my little girls room?My daughter will be 2 in May and we are going to make her a big girl room. We are expecting another child in July so we wanted to change her room soon before then new baby comes so she gets use to it. I am wondering what theme would go good for her room. The walls are kind of a yellow green with white trim. Here is a picture of what the green kind of looks like. Will I get tired of it easily? What else can I do for my room? So right now my room is really small, well small to me anyway. It's wallpapered so I have to take down the wallpaper securers get some wall puddy, then sand it down and then (finally) paint. The paint colors I had chosen were Bamboo Matt (cream) and northern sea (blue). I'm going to paint the 2 largest walls blue (no windows) and the other 2 (with windows) the cream like color. Since I'm really into art I'm going to have this flower (silk chinese mum) or those white blow-away dandelions painted in that cream-ish color with pedals or seeds (depends on which I choose) blowing away around the room. Then over that it's going to be the same pic but it's going to be Sumptuous Spice (brown) but you'll still see the cream-ish color. It would look kinda like this except with a flower, and painted on: http://www.flickr.com/photos/22876714@N03/3629777751/ My wood furniture, (dresser, coffee table, side table, etc.) are almost all stained pine(dark) and my dad is going to make this box thing for these usually outdoor lanterns (but were inside in some interior design shows) for a little reading area. It's dark blue, so does anybody know of a good place to get a Bamboo matt/beige color futon cover? (not walmart, it cost like $30 bucks) Also where to find a pillow like the middle one in this pic. And I have a huge fish w/ fish tank (of course) but the tank and it's holder are too small (I have a gold-fish that could be the largest gold-fish literally, It's name is goldie and as large as the Japenese largest fish also named goldie) So yeah I nee a large tank and holder but if I go to places like petco they're too pricey and I don't wanna go to Walmart because they (our area one) doesn't have any big enough. (Also have some cat-fish, bottom cleaners of the tank, will get quite big as well). Please help. Please help me and if possible add links with pics and prices. Bye!!!! :) Open Question: Which one is advisible; sub-basement or sub-wall?I am in the preliminary phase of custem building my house in a sloppy plot. The engineer want me to decide as soon as possible either for sub-basement or sub-wall. Please advise! The cost is almost the same for both. I am wondering weather there is any modern idea how to use the basement except making it storage area. Open Question: How do I adjust my futon?When it is in the couch position. I would like to change the angle (because it is too upright at the moment). This is not a metal frame futon. It looks like an actual couch when it is folded up. Open Question: How can I achieve a "hippie look" for my bedroom for really cheap?I'm out to do the impossible! My room really needs a makeover. As an escapist, I feel personally drawn to an intense, psychedelic look... but don't have the cash to give it a total overhaul (um, $25 for the whole project?) How can I give it curb appeal?The previous owner built the house facing the east for religious reasons. It is a beautiful house but it looks extremely awkward from the road (you can't see the front door). I don't know if we should try landscaping around it or structural renovations. Creative ideas?
