Open Question: Teflon treatments on couches?

So I purchased some couches recently and the salesmen were pushing me REALLY hard to get the teflon treatment on my couches, which is essentially just Scotch Guard, which you can buy for $10 a can. Obviously, I'm not going to spend the $200 they wanted me to pay to do it, when I can just spray my own for $10, and they pushed so hard for me to get the teflon because it's almost totally profit. Now, I have heard that most furniture already has a treatment like teflon or scotch guard already on it. Is that so? Please be specific if you can.

Open Question: Umm... I just kicked a hole into my wall... ? HELP?

So. Me and my mom were fighting again tonight. That's nothing new, but this time I got so super mad (like unusually so) that I thrust my foot at my bedroom wall, and accidentaly left a hole about the size of (ironically) a fist. Right now it's covered with some posters from my room, so she shouldn't find it. What should I do??? She's already mad at me enough every day. Is there a way to secretly fix it, maybe? Thanks so much! <3 Ps. I know my action was stupid... :( Thanks, I will do that next month when this is surely forgotten! Until then, I will try to take second answerer's suggestion. Thanks for actually helping with this! :)

Open Question: Paint for finished cabinets ..........?

We have brand new white finished vanity( cabinets) in our master bathroom. Is there any kind of paint that I can used to paint over them . I would like to pain them with some dark rich color. Any tips greatly appreciated. Thanks The cabinets right now if I am not mistaken have a lacquered kind of finished . The finish definitely is not a wood stain of varnish , its like a thin plastic waterproof kind of coating. Sorry if this sound weird but I am still learning and have very little knowledge about these things. Thanks Yes it does have a glossy kind of plastic finish.

Open Question: what colors would work well?

im redoing my parents kitchen for them and the counter top is this blue(the top color dark blue)http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/da/Shades_of_blue.jpg and i wondered what other colors would work with it? right now they have pale cream walls light blue trim and the dark counter top. that im not changing because there are other things in worse condition. so what colors would work? its maybe even the color of blue on the submit box on YA only a little darker.it actually a ugly color and hard to work with. at least i think so.
