Open Question: Does anyone have any teenage room decorating tips?

I really want to paint my room a deep colour. Purple is my favorite colour. But I heard people get tired of purple very easily and I'm not paining my room again until I'm 16. Does anyone have any specific colour for me? Post a link if you want. OH! My furniture is white and light wood just to let you all know if that would help. My "style" if you want to call it that is like, ..? I don't know but I have alot of pictures of boys and posers on my walls and I love writing song lyrics all over them. My room right now is kinda random. What do you guys think about one of my walls being all corkboard so I can put stuff on my walls without leaving holes? P.s. I'm getting new funiture when I'm 16.. and it's all going to be either black or dark wood. So I want a colour that will match that well for the future. :)

Open Question: Should I make my basement bar top out of granite?

Looking for opinions. I am finishing my basement and building a bar. I want it to have an Irish pub feel to it. I was originally going to make it out of maple plywood with a dark stain finish on it but now I'm considering granite.

hi i am building a new home and i am stuck on the color of the siding. I have to go with vinyl as its all i can afford. Its going to be built to sell so i dont have to like the color myself...just need to know whatt most ppl would think is beautiful. I am going with white trim, soffit & fascia as well as white vinyl windows. The part where i get stuck is trying to pick a color of siding and an awesome contrasting front entry door color. Open Question: Is measuring black success in white-engineered America like measuring a high-jumper's skills in space?

How is "a handful of blacks successfully climbing white-engineered ladders" a testament to blacks' potential to succeed? With absolute dependency non-black inventions (ranging from the civilized municipality, to the text books comprised primarily of non-black discoveries, to the countless non-black technological inventions (e.g. broadcasting, tv, radio, etc.) on which the Oprahs and Obamas of the world rely) can it really be called "black success"? "Accuracy is the twin brother of honesty; inaccuracy, of dishonesty." Nathaniel Hawthorne. So, ask not if it's racist but is it accurate.

Open Question: Super Unique Room Ideas!? That are Cheap and Creative!?

I want my room to look like something out of pbteen.com 's magazine. I have a bookcase bed, to look somewhat cool. I need wall color ideas, here is my bed spread, http://store.delias.com/browse.do?categoryID=1917&sidenavTrack=roomwares.victorian. I have thought of cutting magazine pictures out and putting them in frames, and drazing something simple and putting it in a frame. I'm doing a Girly Lady gaga room with Odd shapes and things, and Marilyn Monroe with quotes and confident stuff, but then some lil wayne with rap stuff. I have no clue. Just room ideas that would make my room be spectacular :D
