Open Question: DIY crafts for your room ?!?

Looking for some easy, classic craft ideas to spice up my room. I don't want it to look very obvious that its home made, but something cute and unique. Im a teenager, so i won't like all those little kid flower crafts xD - even some cool ideas to decorate my room would work!

Open Question: Teenage room decorating ideas?

I'm 16 and I am redoing my room next month. The only problem is, I have no idea what colors or theme to do. I have a bordered stripe in the center of my wall, so I need at least two colors. Also, I need to be able to find a bed spread that matches. I'm open to any ideas, so please help! Thanks.

Open Question: Is this a good idea for decorating?

My husband and i love the feng shui styles. for our bedroom we've decided to do white and ice blue. we were thinking about painting the wall our bed will be on an ice blue or baby blue color with white sheer curtains on the windows. (we hate to put our bed infront of the window but we're moving to a smaller place and all the furniture won't fit comfortably any other way.) our bedroom furniture is a dark cherry wood. our sheets are white and the bed set is the same color as the paint. i was wondering if this is a good idea or anyone else had a better idea. our bed is a queen size. we have 2 bedside tables, a tall chest of drawers, and a dresser with a mirror. all the furniture is dark cherry wood. if anyone has any ideas that we could do for our bedroom, that would amazing!!! thank you!

Open Question: What is most cost effective for adding a bathroom to a detached rec-room?

We have a detached rec-room in the back of our house. It is all wired for electric, has AC etc. We want to build a bathroom. Is it more cost effective to build the bathroom within the existing structure like an interior remodel, or build a completely new add-on to the rec-room? Also, would the building codes/permits be any different for either way of doing this?

Open Question: What is a really fluffy and soft/silky down comforter to get?

I really want a nice down comforter. I know that fill power, thread count, and weight are important. What kind of fabric should I be looking for in a down comforter? I have a duvet cover that is 100% cotton and I hate it. Should my comforter not be 100% cotton? What is a good fill weight? Can someone give me some advice or a brand that they love?!?! Is this a good one? http://cgi.ebay.com/Dorchester-800-Fill-Power-Down-Batiste-Queen-Comforter_W0QQitemZ390091474724QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Comforters_Sets?hash=item5ad3438724

I'm painting a wall in my room a dark purple to contrast against the hot pink, but i'm not sure if i have enough paint left...can I add water to it to possibly get more paint? I probably sound so cheap, but I have no money, and paint isn't cheap. Thanks! =)

Open Question: Sanding and Staining my daughters crib, help?

I am 30 weeks pregnant and was given a crib, I want to change the wood to a darker color and bought everything the man at home depot told me to buy, my friend was told that you're supposed to sand the gloss and old stain off the wood and paint it with the new stain. Are you suppose to let stain dry? We have been wiping it off after 5-10 min cause thats what the can says to do, but its just not looking right. what am I doing wrong?
