Open Question: which colour is most suitable for living room.?Open Question: Should I paint my pine stairs, which have been repaired with timber putty?I have a pine wood staircase, which recently was covered with old carpet. I pulled up the carpet and the grippers, and it left nail holes and chips everywhere! I filled all the holes and chips with timber putty, and sanded it down. I then coated it in a polyurethane floor product called natrathane, but the putty turned orange! So I started changing my mind on the polished wood stair idea, and turned to paint. I have now painted the front face of the stairs in white, and was thinking of putting a chocolate or brown colour on the steps. I guess I want to know if I have to do this! The steps themeselves look a really nice pine with the poly coating. But the putty marks stand out white when sanded, and orange when poly'd. I really cant imagine a stain or coating that will cover them so I could keep the timber natural. Is painting them my only option? Open Question: HOW TO WORK OUT LOFT BLIND SIZES could you help work out the sizes and the codes?i was looking at loft blinds and i cant find the code on my window to show the size. does anyone the sizes for the codes on the loft blinds.
