my pans get all black when I cook on my new propane cooktop and the black soot gets all over our hands and dishcloths. How can I prevent this from happening?

Open Question: Help Me Find Some Pictures?

My mom and I watch Monk. We like Natalie Teeger's living room color (shade of green) and we also like her kitchen (pretty yellow). Can anybody find pictures of those 2 rooms so we could bring it to Home Depot and they can match it for us?

Open Question: What are my options regarding a leaking water heater? details below?

I have a small business office with a Rheemglas electric water heater (2.5 gallons). There are three pipes on top . The 2 paired pipes are water going in and water going out of the tank (I presume). The third pipe has a safety valve. A plumber looked at it and said that the person who installed it did it wrong-- the third pipe is running "up" into the false ceiling rather than down and the plumber thought water was hooked up to the third pipe (instead of it being a drain pipe). He didn't know what to do. Your advice? The installer went out of business yrs ago Is there any way a plumber could rig all of the pipes together and not have any hot water (city regulations do not require running water in the business as there are restrooms at the end of the hallway).

Open Question: I need help with my hide-a-bed frame, please?

I'm sure that most hide-a-bed frames scratch people as they get in and out of it. Is there a rubber-thingy that I can wrap around it to keep from scratching and cutting me? Wrapping a towel or cloth doesn't always work. Why didn't the makers of the hide-a-bed think about not using a sharp frame? My hide-a-bed isn't that old, by the way.
