I am going into high school next year, so a new room for a fresh start, so to speak. I am going to move around furniture, buy new bedspread or two, and take out some things. I also want to paint my room to give it the vibe I want. I want to paint my walls grey. Grey because it goes with many other colors, is more interesting than white, but also isn't wild. I just peeled off the old laminate backsplash from 1980, leaving a yellowed glue behind. But all the adhesive removers I have tried have failed to remove most of the glue. Open Question: Is there anything I can do about adding lighting in my aluminum wired home?I have an aluminum wired home built in 1975. I was going to add a bathroom exhaust fan, and now realize after research about arcing issues between aluminum/copper wirings. Does this mean that I can't add much other than aluminum rated light switches to my home.
