Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Any other stores with a good collection are also welcome. Open Question: Can you return used paint to menards if they advised you to use the TOTALLY wrong type of paint, get $ back?Ok you MUST listen to this. So we have a kitchen table and bathroom vanity that looked a little outdated.... so i decided since we just redid a lot of the kitchen and bath to save $$ and just paint the table and chairs, and vanity until we could buy something a little nicer. So i went to Menard's since usually they are a lot more helpful there than Lowe's. Well i talked with one of the workers about what i was wanting to do. Telling him i needed something VERY durable since the table and chairs get a lot of use. Nothing that will peel, scratch real easy, and can withstand a good amount of use. Well after talking for about ten minutes he suggested i used an industrial strength paint. Explained how good it is for what i am doing. It was on the mildly pricey end with $35 a gallon. So i was super excited. I went home, sanded down the table and chairs and vanity.. took over a day. The primed it all with the same matching color tinted primer. That took a whole day again. So finally i put my first coat on of this paint, was super excited because it was exactly what i wanted color and finish wise. It was super thick paste type paint, so i painted the vanity and table and chairs. Well after TWO DAYS the paint NEVER dried.. now, we dont like in a humid climate or anything, and there is no ENVIRONMENTAL reason it should of taken so long to dry.So im freaking out, because with three kids you could imagine how inconvenient not having a table and chairs and bathroom sink area being able to be used, let alone walked around with wet paint and young kids, dont mix. Well, its been five days now and it just wont dry all the way, you touch it and it smudges .... i NOW have a ruined kitchen table and chairs, and bathroom mirror and vanity... i NOW will have to either throw it all out or spend all my time and money AGAIN and use paint stripper, and sand and blah blah blah again. IS THERE ANYTHING Menard's is all fault here for?!!? can i go and complain and at least get my money back!?! They have ruined everything, and now im even further in debt with this dang thing!? Im EXTREMELY upset.. is there ANyTHING i can do?! Open Question: Where can I get light difusers...?We have a few intense lights in our home and want to create a rather fun atmosphere. We want to place a lens in front of the bulb to create designs such as stars, lines, etc. on the wall. Does anybody know where to get these lenses? What are they actually called so I can search online? Thanks in advance, Arman Open Question: How to cool a warm room?I have been thinking very hard how to cool our warm room. We have aircon however we don't use it in our room. And our room is totally hot about 30c everyday. I decided to open everything for ventilation but the problem is the air hit opposite to our side of the apartment. So except from planting and buying something new, is there a way how to cool a room? like some kind of ventilation perhaps? Open Question: What is the best tool to remove rock-hard grouting from between bathroom floor tiles?Would a Dremel work? An angle grinder blade is, I think, too thick. A chisel? The grouting is broken/cracked in places, and I want to clear the old grout and re-grout without removing the tiles. the tiles themselves are about 1 inch square. Thanks for any suggestions.
