Open Question: around how much would it cost to redo a room?

im wanting to switch from the smallest bedroom into the open den space we have. the only problem is 1. theres no light. 2.the carpet needs to be redone (stupid cats) 3.theres no door. a doorway but no door. can anyone give me just like a guesstimate (yes i said guesstimate :P ) of wut it might cost to redo myself? or proffesionally? which way is best? easy 10 points :)

I am not very good at picking up paint the tile its like the top of the toolbar for answers that green does any body knows of a good paint color? Thanx

Open Question: How do you move heavy furniture?

I need to move a full size wooden loft bed from one side of the room to another by myself. I'm hoping I can do this without having to disassemble it since it's such a small distance. Any suggestions of things that have worked for you?
