Open Question: Do you like the floor or the ceiling better. hehehehheh. im kinda high right now so for real hwich is better?Open Question: My wife and I just replaced our windows with vinyl double hungs. Very nice but some windows will not open? The contractor will get back to us eventually but we were just wondering if someone knows why this happens? We feel like a couple of idiots, we spent thousands on new windows and can't open all of them. This shouldn't be rocket science. We tried moving the locks in different positions, pushed what we thought were safety locks on the side of the windows. These are very good windows but I have to admit that I'm not very impressed with the mechanical logic behind the locking and opening. Our other windows were old but when you wanted to open or shut, a quick turn of the latch was it. Can anyone explain this window problem? Thanks very much. Open Question: HOW DO I WASH MY WALLS?I AM PLANNING TO REPAINT MY WALLS AND IT HAS BEEN SUGGESTED THAT PREPARE THE WALLS BY WASHING THEM. ARE THERE TOOLS, TECHNIQUES AND CLEANING SOLUTIONS THAT WILL HELP ME PREPARE MY WALLS? Open Question: I have a Florida room that has a concrete floor. What do I do to prepare the floor to make it into a room? The Florida room has regular walls & windows but a concrete floors This is my first time on this , so please bear with me. I just bought a mobil home & it has a room that you enter before you go up the stairs into the home. It has reg. walls & slide up windows but a concrete floor that hasn't been painted. It did have black rubber padding & carpet in it when I bought it but it stunk so bad I removed it. I would like to know if I can make a room out of it with either "indoor/outdoor carpeting " or regular padding & carpeting. Do I have to prepare the floor with some kind of a vapor barrier or another sub-floor before I can add padding & carpeting? If so, how do I do this? I would like to make it into a gathering room for playing cards, guest, TV room, BBQ's dinners (cooking outside of course) or what ever, (not for sleeping or another bdrm.) ---OR WOULD IT BE BEST to just paint the floor & use it as is. THANKS for all your comments. Open Question: where to get deck tiles in CT?Are there any outlets in CT where I can purchase interlocking deck tiles More Recent Articles
