Open Question: Eighties, Boutique, Wonderland, Trippy Bedroom Ideas? and more... Open Question: Eighties, Boutique, Wonderland, Trippy Bedroom Ideas?I'm into so many different era's of style and what not. The sixtes and eighties really interest me. At one point I wanted my room to look like a boutique room, something like Holt Renfrew, they had alot of black, but shiny and not dark at the same time. I'm in love with alice in wonderland because of the scenery - not the characters! I love the creepy trees and trippy mushrooms, etc etc. Any ideas of how to incorporate all of these things into a room and make it look stellar? Anything is appreciated! Open Question: Does anyone have any cute boutique names????I am decorating my closet like a boutique and i was wondering if anyone knew any cute names for the "name" of the boutique. My name is chanlie its pronounced chan-lee. it would be great if you could put my name in it, but you don't have to. it whole be cool if it rhymed also. by the way i am really girly. if that makes a difference. Open Question: Wondering about Basement mold?-very clueless?I am 18 years old and I want to move back home from dorming. I would prefer moving to the basement rather than moving back in with my sister, but in order to do that I would need to fix the mold problem. It is a new problem, and does not look like it is everywhere, just on the carpet and the walls of the barthroom down there. Would I need to get a mold company to come? If so, how much can it cost? It is a small room in the basement, with carpet (that I want to get rid of anyway) and a small bathroom and a small kitchen. The rest of the basement is tile and does not look like there is mold. Would I be able to get rid of the mold myself? I heard that you can do it by buying anti fungal cleaners. How much would an estimate from a mold company cost? Open Question: how much would it cost for...?Open Question: how long does it take for paint to dry?Open Question: Who sells the Frolics Children's Collection Bedding?Does anyone know what store or website sells Frolics Children's Bedding Collection? I see it for sale on eBay and places like TJ Maxx- but I can't figure out where the stuff comes from! They seem to have no company website. Thanks. Open Question: Where is a good but affordable place to buy hardwood floors?I live in Denver Colorado and want to install hardwood floors on the main level of my home but don't know where the best place is to buy them. I read bad reviews everywhere I look. I have an appointment for lumber liquidators on thursday but I'm still unsure. Please help if you know anywhere with a good reputation and is competitive in pricing. Open Question: Need help with empty room? Pic included?Pics didn't post last time...trying again. The floor is concrete, and one of the walls is made of these cement blocks. The ceiling, and the two other walls are drywall, but need to be cleaned off. And the garage door needs to be taken out and replaced with glass french doors. Basically, if somebody could tell me what needs to be done first, how to hang drywall on a cement wall, and any other tips would be great! Im no expert on this subject, so please explain in words a beginner could understand ~thanks :) Open Question: Ceiling fan installation?Hello, I need to install a ceiling fan on a 20' ceiling. My question is, what is the optimal distance for the downrod? I know some experts say that you should have the fan at least 9' - 10' from the ceiling. If that is the case, I will need a lot of or a really long downrod. If anyone is familiar with doing this, could you please help me? Thanks! Open Question: I have a small house, lots of light, one room can be seen from another so I want a flow.?The ceiling isnt eight feet its abit shorter. I want the house to appear larger. My furniture is dark brown leather, wing chairs in striped burgundy, taupe, olive green. What do you suggest. I might do that for the wingchairs, but for the couch its rich dark choc its too nice to cover Open Question: Need ideas on colors for family room?We put on an addition to our house, with a half basement. Downstairs will be my oldest sons bedroom, a family room and a bathroom. We have the kids in mind for the family room. We are going to put all the toys, electronics, game stations etc down there. We are having trouble deciding what color to paint the walls in the family room. We have a tan couch, cream color recliner. We were thinking something dark, soemthing that won't show if dirty from kids etc. Any suggestions? I would really like white trim, love the look of it! But we will be using pine or oak instead. My husband is afraid white won't be good for the kids... I was wrong, couch is black. Open Question: Furniture HELP!! Will give Best Answer!......Where to find risers for furniture W/O legs?!?!?!?I purchased a modern dressing table for my room (to serve as a counter that didn't take up a lot of room for makeup/hair stuff, etc). My problem is, I need it to be a couple inches higher, but I can't find risers that won't look stupid because the table doesn't have legs! (- The sides are solid, like a continuation of the top surface, so from the side it looks like a rectangle instead of legs). What would be ideal is a narrow, but long riser. But anything not meant for furniture with legs would be great! Thank you SO much for your help. *I will be sure to give best answer!! More Recent Articles
