Open Question: Gothic-Romantic Room style?Hey i can't paint the walls cause my house is rented, but i want to transform my bedroom into like a big victorian-gothic-romantic empire :-) Tips and ideas? xo Open Question: would slate or granite weather faster?Open Question: Need Dishwasher Help!?I have a cheap hot point model dishwasher hooked up to a garbage disposal. I live in an rather large 200+ unit apartment complex so I'm at the mercy of the brand the owners decide to put in. Now I'm very very careful to scrape off all the food before loading the dishwasher and very careful to rinse the dishes. I've had NOTHING but problems with this model. The owners of the complex would rather fix something to death and replace the item with another cheap model than just out right buy a quality model that won't break down every 3-4 months. Now lately the dishwasher works great. Drains, washes, does everything like it's supposed to UNTIL the final rinse cycle. It will not drain after the final rinse cycle, but it will drain every other time. What's wrong with it? Can't be something stuck in there because it drains every other time and fills up just fine. Is this something I can fix? Open Question: What color bedspread should I get?Im redecorating my room. I already got my walls done with 1 wall dark brown with a lime green stripe at the top and 3 walls done lime green with a stripe dark brown.My mom won't let me get my room repainted. I have a tan sheets and a 2 lime green pillows and a yellow. I wanted a yellow but i cant find one anywhere.I dont want a green bedspread. I want my room many colors. I want it a plain bedspread or a main color with a little yellow so it matches the pillow. I've looked at pretty much everywhere so please don't say to go somewhere to look.Thanks for your help! Open Question: Any apartment decoration ideas?My husband and I are moving into a two bedroom apartment tomorrow. I'm going to do some shopping for a few basic decor items tomorrow and am looking for suggestions! What I'm planning on buying is a shower curtain, comforter and maybe curtains for the living room and main bedroom. I would like to have some ideas about what I will end up doing decor wise so that what I buy tomorrow lasts for awhile. The bedroom and living room both have white-ish/greyish carpet with white/off white walls. The bathroom, however, has walls that are a little darker than off-white. Not quite beige but they have enough of a beige tone that I don't think just any color will work. It's a pretty small bathroom with a normal rod and normal sized bath/shower combo. No windows. So the only things I'll be doing decoration-wise are shower curtain, rug, accessories (toothbrush holder, soap dish, etc) and towels. Maybe a print for the wall. The bedroom: I'm looking for a nice relaxing oasis of a bedroom. We're not putting desks or a television or anything other than the bed and a dresser in this room because we want it to be for relaxation only. There is one small window with white blinds already. We are allowed to paint but I'm not sure I'm really into that much effort right now so I'd like to stick with the white-ish walls that are already there:) I would love to read any suggestions you have and I love pictures sense I have a hard time imagining some schemes people come up with! Oh, another issue. Being a smaller apartment, our kitchen is directly off of the livingroom so whatever colors I use in the L-room need to work with whatever is done in the kitchen. We won't be buying furniture for awhile so for the next few months we'll be working with a black futon, black television, medium brown recliner/lazy boy type chair and huge floor to ceiling, dark wood book shelf. The dresser in the bedroom is medium brown. Open Question: travel theme bedding?I am a teen girl and I love to travel. I have been trying to find travel theme bedding for a while and I was wondering if anyone knows where I can some. i was looking for something that might have like names of world cities on it, passport stamps, or pictures. I want something colorful.
