Open Question: Can I Use a Queen Comforter on Twin XL Bed?

Going off to college in the fall and I have to live in the dorm room for the first year (it's mandatory). I've always had a Queen sized bed so I only Queen sized comforters and duvets and I really like my current one. Would I be able to use a Queen sized comforter and duvet on a dorm room Twin XL bed or would it just be too over sized? I'll definitely be getting Twin XL sheets but I don't want to have to buy all new bedding that I'll only use for a year.

Open Question: where to buy a wedge insert to put between mattress and box spring to keep mattress up on an angle?

I want to tilt the bed. Its so heavy, I cant get anything under the legs. The shorter pieces of foam push the mattress up too much, and puts me on too much of angle when I'm on my sides - thanks
