I prefer a softer, plush mattresses and the queen is not that. It is almost brand new (about a year and half old) and isn't used much. I sleep on it when I go home to visit and I had to buy 2 three-inch thick feather-bed toppers to make it comfy -- they worked (made it comfy) but since I slept in the middle they now have flattened in the middle and are very lumpy and uncomfortable. I want something that will be soft and plush and have decided to try a memory foam topper since I love the feel and am fairly confident that I can get a good deal. My question concerns the density... I've done a little bit of research but I'm still confused. I know I want/need something that is 3 inches thick or more to make a difference on a firm bed... what I don't know about it density... I want something soft and supportive but not firm... I want to feel like I'm sleeping in a cloud. I have heard so many conflicting opinions and I don't know what density to get. 3 lbs? 4 lbs? 2 lbs? Help!
