Open Question: Must plumbing in the garage be sealed in a wall? and more... Open Question: Must plumbing in the garage be sealed in a wall?I live in California and recently repiped with PEX. Looks like I'm leak free (knock on wood!), so now I'm looking into sealing up the openings I made in the walls. I'm wondering if this is a "must" in the garage. Specifically, the piping from the top of the water heater used to go inside the wall and then down to the crawl space. Now you can see the piping until it disappears below the house. Oh, and very near the water heater, the piping to the washing machine is also exposed within the wall. Do I need to close all of those up? Virtually no fear of freezing within the garage here in CA. Is there anywhere I could look this type of thing up? Like a county website or something? Or do you just have to ask/know it? Open Question: What do i do if i have flying termites in my basement?my mom and i just went down the basement and she noticed flying bugs, and i looked it up and they are flying termites. she did spray some type of spray to kill most of them, but its a saturday and i don't think there is anyone to call to kill them professionally. what should we do to keep them from spreading and any tips or facts i should know about them? or any help at all would be much appreciated.
